Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has dismissed the rumours linking him with a move at Manchester City, saying he will still be at the German champions next season. Guardiola was asked about his future during the press conference before Tuesday's Champions League semi-final second leg against Barcelona.
"I've already said 200 million times - I'll be here next season. That's it," Guardiola said. "I have a year left on my contract. Next season I will be here." Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini could be sacked after his team failed to defend the Premier League title this season. There were newspaper reports last week stating that Guardiola had already reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City for next season.
The Spanish manager has won five domestic titles in his six seasons as head coach, three of them with Barcelona and the other two with Bayern Munich. He also reached the Champions League semi-finals five times. He is unlikely to reach the final this time though as Barcelona hammered Bayern 3-0 in the first leg last week. Guardiola said: "Barcelona are strong on the break. If we let something slip, they'll punish us. We have to defend well. We can't go on the all-out attack. We have to control the game. We're Bayern - before a game I've never said that we have no chance. Of course we do."
Here are the odds for Tuesday's second leg at Bet365:
Bayern win - 8/5 Draw - 11/4 Barcelona win - 17/10

Pep Guardiola is great coach and great manager but I thin that he is not right man for Bayern Munich. I know that he can coach every team on the world but Bayern is not team for him. That stories about him going to Manchester City could be true but Pep can't admit that now and I think that after this loss from Barcelona...

I think that he should stay. In last match against Barcelona they played very well despite fact that they played without Ribery, Robben and Alaba. I think that those three players were in squad that it will be different semi finals so I think that he should stay and next year with all healthy players try to win champions...

But that advantage from the first match was too big and Barca know how to play on result and keep ball away from their opponents so they deserved final and they will play. So now they wait who will be their opponent Real Madrid or Juventus.

Bayern Munich players gave their best, but it simply was not enough to beat Barcelona. They would have much more chances if they had Robben and Ribery in their team. They are 2 best players of the German side.Bavarians should be sad about this loss,Barca is the best team in the world at the moment.

Bayern are too far away from the style in their play from the previous seasons to be too much of a danger for Barcelona. I didn't expect too easy game for the Spanish team but I think they will not have a problem to qualify for the final. Maybe a victory for Bayern by one goal difference.

Maybe I'm wrong but in my opinion Pep Guardiola is not one of my favorite managers in football. I really don't see something "special" in him. In my opinion, Bayern Munich was much stronger and played better with Jupp Heynckes, and also here we see Barcelona playing also very good without him, and they have Luis Enrique,...

So if you ask me, he can go anywhere :P

@Rikkimartin4444 You are right.Even if he decides to stand up from the bench of Bayern Munich, where should he go? Only 3 or 4 teams that are as powerfull as Bavarians are. Those are Chelsea,Barca,Real and ManUn and Guardiola certainly knows that all this teams have managers which wont be sacked soon.I disagree with Timidi.He...

I think that Guardiola don't speak truth because now he must say that he don't want to make his team unstable for that match with Barcelona but I think that he can leave Bayern. Bayern is weaker than two years ago when Pep wasn't their coach so I think that it is real to Guardiola leave Munich after two years.

This move was expected and Guardiola made the right decision. This year will certainly fall out of the fight for the Champions League trophy. Next year will try to win the trophy and then goes away. If you want to be the greatest coach of all time he has to win the trophy in the Champions League with different clubs. He...

If you want to be the greatest coach of all time he has to win the trophy in the Champions League with different clubs. He is aware that Bayern have the chance, so will try again next season

For me it was expected. No one can say that he is bad at Bayern. He won 2 Bundesliga titles, yes, he indeed had the best team, but it does not decreasing his quality as a manager. In Champions League,he get them every time to the semi-finals,and they had to face there squads that simply were better then Bavarians.Also,Germans...

I am not so sure...
