Newcastle United face the prospect of a seventh consecutive defeat when they travel to Leicester City on Saturday. That seventh straight defeat could drag the Magpies closer to the relegation zone, while for Leicester a win would continue their recent revival and boost their survival hopes. Newcastle have been beaten by Leicester just once in their last ten meetings. The Magpies have also won the reverse fixture this season, it ended 1-0 with a goal from Gabriel Obertan.
Leicester have pulled off an amazing comeback over the past few weeks, clinching four wins in a row to lift themselves off the bottom of the table and above the relegation zone. They were defeated by future champions Chelsea on Wednesday but it's not against the Blues that they were expecting to get points. They will have to get points against Newcastle though, no excuses for not beating the most out-of-form team in the league. David Nugent remains sidelined for Leicester while Robert Huth and Andy King are in doubt after picking up knocks against Chelsea.
Newcastle have been going downhill since Alan Pardew left and was replaced by caretaker manager John Carver. They are currently 14th in the Premier League table and just five points above the relegation zone. They haven't won in six games and have tasted victory just once in their last eleven games. Newcastle will be without Papiss Cisse, who serves the last of his seven-match ban, but Moussa Sissoko will be back after suspension. Siem de Jong is not yet fit to start but might come off the bench while Daryl Janmaat should be back in the starting eleven.

I can't recognize Newcastle anymore. They are not the same team as they were on the start of this season. They were one of my favorite teams but they are now in real danger. Places for relegation are so close and they must do something about that. I think that change of coach is logical move for Newcastle to try to turn...

I expected many goals, and even a win from Leicester City, but surely I didn't expect from New Castle to loose with that much goals difference. It was clear that home team wanted more to win, and they had more reasons to do that, and they success. Now they are out from relegation zone, but Sunderland have one match less,...

Leicester is in great form and they take advantage of that and beat Newcastle 3-0 and get three very very important points in that race for survive in Premier league. Newcastle is in bad form and after this loss they are now in dangerous place and they must be concerned about staying in Premier League.

I think Leicester will have to throw everything they've got in this one to be able to win that game. Newcastle are in awful shape at the moment so it's pretty normal to expect the home side victory in this one. If Leicester City loose any points today they will relegate in the end of the season.
