Bayern Munich will be looking to advance to their fourth consecutive semi-final and the first step towards that goal is on Wednesday when they travel to Portugal to meet FC Porto for the first leg of the quarter-finals. The two sides have met twice before at this stage of the competition, with Bayern prevailing on both occasions. Porto have managed to beat the Germans in the 1987 European Cup final.
Porto recorded a convincing 5-1 aggregate win over Basel in the previous round, with a 4-0 home victory after a 1-1 draw in Switzerland. However, their recent form has not been very good, they have won just two of their last four matches. They are three points behind Primeira Liga leaders Benfica. This is the first time that Porto play in the Champions League quarter-finals since 2009. Ivan Marcano is suspended for the match while Jackson Martinez and Cristian Tello will have to undergo late fitness tests.
Bayern Munich have almost secured their domestic title, so they can now focus entirely on the Champions League. In the last round they were held to a 0-0 draw at Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg but then they demolished their opponents in a 7-0 triumph in Munich. They have won eight of their last nine league matches and last weekend they defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0. However, six key players are unavailable due to injuries: David Alaba, Medhi Benatia, Javi Martinez, Franck Ribery,Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

This match was strange from the beginning but rematch is soon and I think that Bayern will win against Porto at home and go to the semi finals of Champions League. They are much much better team with a better players and that away goal could make difference because 2-0 for Bayern is good and with that result they are total...

What a surprise, I am shocked. I think that nobody expected this result and victory for Porto. Porto were better team and I am sure that they have big chances to go in next round of champions league. In next match they will have hard job but I think (after what I saw in first match) that they could make good result in Germany....

Tonight Bayern will play without Robben and Ribery and that is very important. Without these two players Bayern is not very dangerous and they have a lot of troubles to score without them. So tonight I think that Porto can earn at least draw. I next match in Germany Bayern will have easy job to win and go to the next round...

Bayern is the team with the biggest chances to go trough in the semifinals but that doesn't mean that it will be like walk in the park. I think Porto have the potential to make both games tough for Bayern Munich. I don't think that everything will be so clear after the first game, but will see.

Porto has very little chance in this match after the 7:0 in Germany. Bayern Munich is dominant as always and has good recent form in they'r league(literally). But they might throw caution to the wind and rest some players because of the good previous result so Porto may win but it will not matter in the end most likely.

In this match maybe there is the "clearest" favorites from all quarter finals that we will watch. Bayern Munich are in very good shape and they are even one of the biggest favorites to win the UEFA Champions League title this season, but anyway there is not an easy opponent when you are at this stage in the best football...

Bayern is clear favorite here, but they are playing in Portugal, and Porto has good squad, so it wouldn't surprise me if Bayern fail to win tonight. They are in good form, and they hve good results in Bundesleague, with which they can fully concentrate on Champions league. I am predicting draw without many goals here
