Back Primera Liga: Real Madrid set to sign Danilo

Real Madrid have reached an agreement with FC Porto to sign Brazilian right-back Danilo for 23 million pounds at the end of the current season. Danilo, aged 23, has become a regular in the Brazilian national team after new head coach Carlos Dunga took over last summer. He also had impressive performances for Porto en route to the Champions League quarter finals.

A statement by FC Porto to the Portuguese stock exchange confirmed deal and the fee while Real Madrid issued a statement confirming the move. The player will be under contract with Real Madrid until 2021.

Real Madrid currently have 23-year-old Spaniard Dani Carvajal and 32-year-old veteran Alvaro Arbeloa as right backs. Danilo's transfer could mean that Alvaro Arbeloa will leave the club while Carvajal might stay and compete for a place in the team. Danilo has made 80 appearances for FC Porto since joining the team in 2012 and also managed to score 8 goals.

Real Madrid are 3/1 at Bet365 to win the Primera Liga title this season.
