Back Primera Liga: Barcelona vs Real Madrid preview

A new episode of the El Clasico Derby will take place on Sunday when Barcelona host Real Madrid at Camp Nou. The home fans will be hoping for another great display from Lionel Messi, who was quite impressive this week during the Champions League match against Manchester City.

Barca defeated the Citizens 1-0 to book their place in the Champions League quarter finals and the result continued their great recent run of form. The Catalans clinched nine wins out of their last ten league fixtures and leapfrogged Real Madrid at the top of the Primera Liga table. Sergio Busquets will be unavailable for the derby but goalkeeper Claudio Bravo should take back his place between the sticks.

Real Madrid got back to winning ways last weekend with a 2-0 triumph over Levante after two league matches without a win. A defeat against Barcelona would see Luis Enrique's men go four points clear at the top of the table, a situation that might lead to Carlo Ancelotti's dismissal at the end of the season. The first Clasico of the season was won by Real Madrid, it ended 3-1 at Santiago Bernabeu in October.

Probable line-ups:

Barcelona: Bravo - Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Alba - Mascherano, Iniesta, Rakitic - Neymar, Messi, Suarez

Real Madrid: Navas - Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo - Kroos, Modric, Isco - Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo

My prediction: Barcelona to win 3-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Barcelona win - 4/6 Draw - 7/2 Real Madrid win - 7/2
