Back Premier League: Liverpool vs Manchester United preview

The derby match between Liverpool and Manchester United on Sunday has much more at stake than usual as the Reds could overcome the Red Devils in the Premier League table if they win. Moreover, Liverpool will have revenge on their minds after Manchester United defeated them 3-0 at Old Trafford in December. Since that match Brendan Rodgers and his players went unbeaten in 13 league games.

Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva are both available again for Liverpool but Brendan Rodgers might stick to the same starting eleven that defeated Swansea on Monday. United are in good form as well after defeating Tottenham 3-0 last weekend. They have suffered a disappointment in the FA Cup against Arsenal but they could make up for that by finishing second in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have won all their last three Premier League matches and kept a clean sheet in the process. Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw will all be available again but they could start on the bench if boss Louis Van Gaal will choose to stick to last weekend's winning line up.

Probable line-ups:

Liverpool: Mignolet - Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno - Allen, Henderson, Lallana - Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge

Manchester United: De Gea - Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Blind - Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young - Rooney

My prediction: 2-2 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Liverpool win - 11/10 Draw - 5/2 Manchester United win - 14/5
