The all-Italian tie of the Europa League last sixteen still has everything left to play for in the second leg as Roma host Fiorentina on Thursday. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw at Stadio Artemio Franchi, so Roma can afford a goalless draw at home to pull through.
Roma have been unconvincing lately though, they have won just three of their last fifteen competitive games, allowing Juventus to run away with the Serie A title. Most of their last results have been draws but they were still unbeaten in 16 games until last Monday when Sampdoria defeated them at home. Midfielder Radja Nainggolan is suspended for Roma while captain Francesco Totti is in doubt.
Fiorentina have managed to score in 13 of their last 14 matches in the Europa League, while Roma have not recorded a clean sheet in their last 21 European matches. History indicates that a goalless draw is highly unlikely. Vincenzo Montella and his players are aiming to overcome Roma in the Serie A as well and finish second behind rivals Juventus. However, Fiorentina will be without strikers Mario Gomez and Giuseppe Rossi on Thursday. The two sides have already met four times this season and Fiorentina already managed a win in Rome, 2-0 in the Italian Cup quarter finals in February.

Fiorentina was so better then Roma in this match. So far this season Fiorentina played some good matches, but I think that nobody expect this kind of match. They easy won match in Rome, and it is surely hard punch for Roma. They played without character, and fighting spirit, and they must work a lot if they want to improve...

Nobody expected that result, but it is fully deserved win for Fiorentina. In last month they played very well, only in match against Lazio, when they was defeated. For Roma, that was a last match to save this season, now they have to play only Seria A matches, but is sure that they will be on second position. For Fiorentina...

Fiorentina plays really well lately and they've made some great games against some class opponents both in Europe and in Italy so everything is possible in this game moreover the shape of Roma is just nowhere near there best. So this have to be a close but for me Roma is a slightly favourite still.

Tonight, like in a first game, I expect a hard game for both teams. For me, Roma is not a big favorite for this match. Roma is not in a good form, but this is a match of the season for them. Fiorentina in last matches was playing very well. Salah is in a very good form. I do not expect too much goals, my tip is under 2,5....
