Manchester City play host to Newcastle United on Saturday evening and the home side will finally have Yaya Toure back on the pitch, along with new signing Wilfried Bony. The two were away at the Africa Cup of Nations for the past month and they had a successful run there as Ivory Coast were crowned champions. During their spell in Africa the Citizens had unconvincing results, falling to seven points behind leaders Chelsea. Moreover, Manchester City will be facing a tough Champions League match next week when they play Spanish giants Barcelona.
Sergio Aguero should be replaced by Bony against Newcastle after the Argentinian striker limped off during last week's 4-1 win against Stoke City. Newcastle have been in good form lately, they are unbeaten in three games since caretaker manager John Carver was confirmed until the end of the season. In October the Magpies defeated Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the Capital One Cup.
Newcastle's last league game was a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, a special match against their former manager Alan Pardew. Cheick Tiote should be back in the starting eleven after his spell at the African Cup. Newcastle are currently 11th in the Premier League but they could climb to ninth place if they manage an unlikely win at the Etihad Stadium.

Obviously every game till the end will be mighty important for City if the wish to stay alive in the title race. Yaya Ture will be back after the African tournament and he is maybe the most influential player for Man City so I expect they will win this game although Newcastle are in rise lately.

This is very important match for Manchester city. If they lose this match I think that race for first place is over and Manuel Pellegini will be sucked. Good news for City is that they will have Yaya Toure back in line up and that should be enough to win here. Newcastle is not in great form and this is not important match...

Newcastle is not in great form and this is not important match for them but they will be motivated because they play against City and every team is motivated when play on Etihad. I expect great match, a lot of goals and City win 4-1.

This game can be huge. City isn't in great form, same goes for Newcastle United. Chelsea leads by 7 points and has home game vs Burnley which is already signed 3 points in front. If City doesn't win this one, its pretty much all over. And Blues from Manchester are aware of that. Yaya Toure is finally back in team, but rumors...

if they want to stay in fight for the title City must win this kind of matches. They have good team, and I believe that they will easily win this match. Of course Newcasle has their own quality, but I believe that Manchester City is huge favorite on this match and that away team has nothing to search for on this match
