Andre Schurrle was sold on transfer deadline day, the German winger has completed a £22m move from Chelsea to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg. Schurrle, aged 24, has featured in the German World Cup squad and also bagged two goals during the memorable 7-1 semi-final victory against Brazil. He also played in the final against Argentina. He joined Chelsea in the summer of 2013 for 18 million pounds from Leverkusen and scored 14 goals for the Blues.
Shortly after confirming the departure of Schurrle Chelsea completed the deal for Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina for £23.3 million. The 26-year-old Colombian winger signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, who allowed Mohamed Salah to go on loan at Fiorentina in exchange. New Chelsea signing Cuadrado said: "I am very happy and thankful for this opportunity I've been given. This is a great club and honestly it is like a dream to join the Chelsea family and to know that the manager believes in me. I'm happy."
As for, Schurrle he was mostly used as a substitute by boss Jose Mourinho. Even so, he scored a crucial goal in September, allowing the Blues to draw 1-1 with title rivals Manchester City. Moreover, no earlier than one moth ago Mourinho said he would only sell Schurrle in case a "phenomenal" offer arrives.
Chelsea are 2/9 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.

Cuadrado is excellent player, but somehow I like Schurrle style of play. He is hard working boy, and i am glad to see that he will get more minutes in team which is fighting for tropheys this season in German football. I think that this is very very good transfer for Chelsea. Cuadrado is great player, he is strong, quick and I think that he can do a lot good things for Chelsea. Schurrle is also good player but he wasn't good enough for Chelsea and I think that Bundesliga is great for him and he will play better in Germany in Wolfsburg....

Chelsea keeps making good financial moves since Jose came back into club. As a Blues fan I feel sad since I loved Schurrle, but he was not starting 11 material. On the other note, Cuadrado surely is, and Willian got huge rival for position near right line. While wer talking about Chelsea, I feel sorry for Cech, hes still...

On the other note, Cuadrado surely is, and Willian got huge rival for position near right line. While wer talking about Chelsea, I feel sorry for Cech, hes still top5 GK's in the world and doesn't deserve to be on the bench. Just wondering why they didn't sell him during winter.

I really can't say who is better player, Schurrle or Cuadrado. They both are very good players and they showed their qualities so many times. I think smart moves by Jose Mourinho without spending almost anything. He sold a player that he obviously didn't like so much like Schurrle for 22mil and spend pretty much the same amount for the Columbian Juan Cuadrado. I expect the new player to have much more playing time than Schurrle. Will that be a great transfer...

I feel sorry for Cuadrado but his prize is good. I loved his playstyle in my opinion he can't do his best in Chelsea. He don't pass to Chelseas style i think. But i hope i am wrong and he will open his wings. If not i would see him at Juventus or Arsenal. Good luck at Chelsea Juan Cadrado!
