Andre Schurrle was sold on transfer deadline day, the German winger has completed a £22m move from Chelsea to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg. Schurrle, aged 24, has featured in the German World Cup squad and also bagged two goals during the memorable 7-1 semi-final victory against Brazil. He also played in the final against Argentina. He joined Chelsea in the summer of 2013 for 18 million pounds from Leverkusen and scored 14 goals for the Blues.

Shortly after confirming the departure of Schurrle Chelsea completed the deal for Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina for £23.3 million. The 26-year-old Colombian winger signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, who allowed Mohamed Salah to go on loan at Fiorentina in exchange. New Chelsea signing Cuadrado said: "I am very happy and thankful for this opportunity I've been given. This is a great club and honestly it is like a dream to join the Chelsea family and to know that the manager believes in me. I'm happy."

As for, Schurrle he was mostly used as a substitute by boss Jose Mourinho. Even so, he scored a crucial goal in September, allowing the Blues to draw 1-1 with title rivals Manchester City. Moreover, no earlier than one moth ago Mourinho said he would only sell Schurrle in case a "phenomenal" offer arrives.
