Back Primera Liga: Cordoba vs Real Madrid preview

Real Madrid need a win against Cordoba in their Primera Liga encounter on Saturday in order to make sure they remain top of the table. They are just one point ahead of rivals Barcelona before the match. Last weekend Real Madrid preserved their lead after they beat Getafe 3-0 with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale on the score sheet.

Pepe and Luka Modric are still out with injuries, while James Rodriguez and Isco are in doubt. Cordoba are not doing bad lately either, they are on a three-match unbeaten run which has moved them away from the relegation zone, even though by only two points. Cordoba are in the top flight for the first time in 42 years.

Striker Florin Andone has scored twice in their last three matches and should start again up front, while Eduard Campabadal will be suspended after being sent off last week. Earlier this season Cordoba escaped the Bernabeu with a decent 2-0 defeat.

Probable line-ups:

Cordoba: Carlos - Pantic, Crespo, Edimar, Rossi - Cartabia, Ghilas, Garcia, Deivid - Bebe, Andone

Real Madrid: Casillas - Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Carvajal - Kroos, Rodriguez, Isco - Ronaldo, Benzema, Bale

My prediction: Real Madrid to win 3-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Cordoba win - 20/1 Draw - 7/1 Real Madrid win - 1/7
