Premier League: Chelsea vs Newcastle preview
Chelsea are determined to build on their impressive win at Manchester City last Monday by grabbing another three points when they face Newcastle United on Saturday. Chelsea put an end to Manchester City's 100 percent record at the Etihad Stadium as Branislav Ivanovic's strike earned the Blues a 1-0 win. Chelsea are now level on points with second-placed Man City and two points behind league leaders Arsenal. Jose Mourinho played down Chelsea's chances of winning the title this season after their win at Manchester City, especially considering that they only recorded a goalless draw in their last match at Stamford Bridge, against West Ham. Defender Gary Cahill is fully aware that the team can't afford a similar slip-up against Newcastle. He said: "No disrespect to West Ham, we had loads of possession. We spoke about that after the game and that was a blow to stuff two points up at home. We're now on the positive end of a great win away from home, so we can't afford to throw that away at the weekend against a tough team. We're home again - we should be buzzing with confidence and ready to go again." Chelsea also have to get revenge against Newcastle after the 2-0 defeat to Alan Pardew's side at St James' Park in November. Newcastle have won three of their last four matches against the Blues, but this time they could be low on confidence after a 3-0 derby defeat at home to Sunderland last weekend. The Magpies have won just one of their last seven matches and director of football Joe Kinnear resigned earlier this week. Newcastle will be without suspended striker Loic Remy while midfielder Cheick Tiote is in doubt after picking up an injury in training. Chelsea will once again be without Fernando Torres (knee). Here are the odds for Saturday's Stamford Bridge match at Bet365: Chelsea win - 1/4 Draw - 21/4 Newcastle win - 14/1
