Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu says Lionel Messi is happy at the club and will remain with the Blaugrana until at least the end of his contract in 2018. However, there have been reports in the Spanish media suggesting that the Argentinian superstar is unhappy under the command of head coach Luis Enrique. Messi is the all-time record goalscorer in the Primera Liga.
Bartomeu said: "Messi has a contract until 2018, he is happy with the club and wants to win more titles. There is nothing to panic about in that regard. Messi is the central figure. The team is built around him. The whole footballing world knows that Barca don't want to sell Messi. For me he is the best player in the world."
Messi was on the bench last weekend when Barcelona lost to Real Sociedad. They are second in the Primera Liga table, but just one point behind rivals Real Madrid. There are rumours Messi could be interested in a move to English Premier League side Chelsea. President Bartolomeu set up a press conference and said: "These news stories are created to try to damage FC Barcelona. They are written with the intention of creating conflicts where conflict does not exist."
Barcelona are 11/4 at Bet365 to win the Primera Liga title this season.

I don't believe that Barcelona will ever even think about selling Lionel Messi. Maybe in the end of hes career when will stay just one or two seasons ahead of him that might be a possibility, but not at this stage. He is a Barca living legend and will stay at the club anything other are media speculations.

I love Barcelona, and I will be very sorry if the club leave one of the greatest legends. Although they are now in crisis, I hope that things will soon return to their place, and i hope barca again be first on the table and play their typical game which were graced these years. MES QUE UN CLUB!

I just can't imagine messi in some other club and I think that Lionel will finish his career here in Barcelona. I hear that a lot of teams are interested in this player and he is one of the greatest player ever but there is some things which money can't buy and one of them is Lionel Messi. Big respect for him.
