Chelsea striker Fernando Torres will join AC Milan on a permanent basis in January. The striker had moved to the Serie A club on a two-year loan deal last summer and will now make the move permanent. However, it seems that AC Milan won't keep him, they could send him on loan to Atletico Madrid in exchange for Italian winger Alessio Cerci.
Torres had joined Chelsea from Liverpool for a British record transfer fee of £50m in January 2011. He won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup with the Blues. Chelsea release a statement thanking the striker for "his service during the past four seasons" and wished him "the very best for the future".
Torres had been linked with a return to former club Atletico Madrid as the club president admitted the possibility. Atletico assistant coach German Burgos also said a deal was "on the verge of completion". "He will be a very important reinforcement for the second half of the season," Burgos said. Torres left Atletico for Liverpool in 2007 after scoring 84 goals for the Spanish club. He scored just one goal in 10 appearances for AC Milan this season.
AC Milan are 4/1 at Bet365 to finish in the Serie A top three this season.

I always thought that Tores, sooner or later will end up back to the his first club Atletico Madrid, but I thought that will happen in the very end of his career. Obviously Chelsea don't needed him anymore, but I don't get Milans move, first they loaned him than bought him and at last traded him for another player!? That's...

I know him, and i was watching him for a long time, but I think that he doesn't deserve all that money. He plays solid i think, he is not anythin special. Like this man up said, he can't be good like he was 5,6 years ago. And this, seria A is hard for Torres, i know what i;m talking. We ll see him.

I'm a very big fan of Juventus, and I must say that this should be very good news for AC Milan fans. They will make a right move if they manage to make that exchange with Atletico Madrid. Torres is good player, but my personal opinion is that he will never be that Torres that he was in his best days in Atletico Madrid and Liverpool. On the other side Alessio Cerci is very good player but he just couldn't find himself in Primera, but he already showed that Italian way of playing football is the right way for him. He had very good two seasons with Toriono, scoring 21 goals for them.
