Back UEFA Champions League: Roma vs Manchester City preview

It's do or die time for both Roma and Manchester City as the two sides meet on Wednesday. Bayern Munich have already secured top spot in Group E while all the other three teams have a chance to progress. Manchester City can progress if they beat Roma and CSKA fail to win at Bayern, while Roma can be sure of advancing to the last sixteen if they beat the Citizens and they could also pull through in case of a draw if Bayern beat CSKA.

City will be without star striker Sergio Aguero as the Argentinian is expected to be out for around a month with a damaged knee ligament. Manchester City are on a five-game winning streak while Roma are unbeaten in five games. Captain Vincent Kompany might also miss out due to a hamstring injury while Yaya Toure is still suspended.

Roma have won five of their last seven home meetings against English clubs, while City have never won a European game away from home in Italy. The reverse fixture ended 1-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Probable starting line-ups:

Roma: De Sanctis - Florenzi, Manolas, Astori, Cholevas - Nainggolan, De Rossi, Keita - Gervinho, Totti, Ljajic

Man City: Hart - Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Clichy - Fernando, Fernandinho - Navas, Nasri, Milner - Dzeko

My prediction: 2-2 draw.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Roma win - 29/20 Draw - 5/2 Man City win - 2/1
