Back Premier League: Newcastle vs Chelsea preview

Chelsea will be looking to extend their unbeaten streak when they visit Newcastle on Saturday. Jose Mourinho's men recorded a convincing 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek, even more remarkable if you consider that they did it without top scorer Diego Costa. Both Didier Drogba and Loic Remy found the back of the net but they will be out of the starting eleven on Saturday as Costa makes his return from suspension.

Chelsea will be without Nemanja Matic though after the midfielder picked up a fifth yellow card of the season. Newcastle manager Alan Pardew will see Moussa Sissoko and Jack Colback return from suspension but his list of absentees has no less than 10 names at the moment, including Siem de Jong, Davide Santon, Gabriel Obertan, Ryan Taylor, Tim Krul, Sammy Ameobi, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Rolando Aarons.

Newcastle have slipped to ninth position in the Premier League table following a draw and a loss which ended their five-match winning streak. Last season Loic Remy scored for Newcastle in the match against Chelsea as the Magpies recorded the second consecutive home win against the Blues.

Probable line-ups:

Newcastle: Elliot - Janmaat, Taylor, Dummett, Haidara - Colback, Tiote - Gouffran, Sissoko, Perez - Cisse

Chelsea: Courtois - Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta - Mikel, Fabregas - Hazard, Oscar, Willian - Costa

My prediction: Chelsea to win 2-0.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Newcastle win - 6/1 Draw - 10/3 Chelsea win - 8/15
