Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has decided to part company with the club after less than nine months in charge. Solskjaer held talks with chairman Mehmet Dalman before making the official announcement. Cardiff are currently 17th in the Championship after having recorded three losses in seven games. Veteran player Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young will take charge until a permanent manager is signed.
Solskjaer succeeded Malky Mackay on 2 January 2014 when Cardiff were 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. The Norwegian was unable to rescue the club and they got relegated on May 3rd after a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle.
Club owner Vincent Tan said: "Ole was hired by Cardiff City on our understanding and belief that he would help us fight relegation from the Barclays Premier League. Unfortunately that did not happen. After the club was relegated many people advised me to let him go, but I decided to keep Ole on for the Championship season. Regrettably our recent results do not justify Ole's continued role as manager at Cardiff."
Solskjaer said: "I want to thank Vincent for giving me the opportunity to manage Cardiff City. He has my full respect and I really wish him all the best in his pursuit of making this football club successful."

Cardif is a very strange club, with them president. Cardif's fans doesn't support what Tan do. For me, Cardif, with Norwich and NotFor is a favorite for...

I don't understend why teams and their board think that if some man was a good football player that hi will be great manager. For me it is helpful if you were good player but that doesn't metter at all. I think on first place you need to have school, education and than expirience with youth teams and than try to coach team...
