Back UEFA Europa League: Partizan Belgrade vs Tottenham preview

Tottenham Hotspur kick off their Europa League group campaign on Thursday evening when they travel to Serbia to face Partizan. The Spurs have qualified for the group stage after a convincing 5-1 aggregate win over AEL Limassol from Cyprus. Their start in the Premier League was also pretty good, grabbing 7 points out of 12 so far. The last match for Mauricio Pochettino and his men was the 2-2 draw at Sunderland last Saturday.

Partizan are currently at tleading their domestic league with a 100% record of five wins out of five matches. The Serbians, coached by Marko Nikolic, ended up in the Europa League after being defeated by Ludogorets Razgrad from Bulgaria in Champions League qualifying.

Tottenham will most likely be without Jan Vertonghen who missed the Sunderland match with a thigh injury, while Roberto Soldado and Kyle Walker will surely be out of contention.

Probable starting line-ups:

Partizan: Lukac - Ilic, Vulicevic, Stankovic, Petrovic - Drincic, Grbic, Markovic, Pantic - Lazovic, Skuletic

Spurs: Lloris - Dier, Kaboul, Chiriches, Rose - Capoue, Dembele - Eriksen, Stambouli, Chadli - Adebayor

My prediction: Tottenham to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Partizan win - 17/4 Draw - 3/1 Tottenham win - 3/5
