Back International Football: Zlatan Ibrahimovic breaks Sweden goalscoring record

Paris St-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged two goals against Estonia to become Sweden's all-time leading scorer with an impressive tally of 50 goals. The 32-year-old striker opened the scoring with a ferocious left-footed volley from a corner after just three minutes. Then he wrapped up the proceedings in the 24th minute with another fine effort to make it 2-0. This was his 99th appearance for Sweden.

Ibrahimovic broke Sven Rydell's record of 49 goals, which had stood since 1932. The PSG striker made his debut for Sweden in January 2011 in a match against the Faroe Islands. He has played for big clubs like Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan and Barcelona before joining PSG. He had been doubtful for the match because of a throat problem but he played and eventually was given a standing ovation by the crowd when he left the field after the hour mark.

Asked after the match which of the 50 goals was his favourite, Ibrahimovic chose his magnificent overhead kick from 30 yards against England in a friendly in November 2012. "The most beautiful was against England, no one's going to beat that, but all goals are important," Ibrahimovic said.

Sweden will travel to Austria on Monday to open their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Austria win - 13/10 Draw - 9/4 Sweden win - 21/10
