Primera Liga: Barcelona's Luis Suarez promises he won't bite any more
Barcelona striker Luis Suarez says he has held discussions with specialists about his violent behaviour and insists he won't be biting any more opponents in the future. The Uruguay forward is serving a four-month ban after biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup this summer. It was the third biting offence in the former Liverpool striker's career. "I say to fans, don't worry, because I won't do that anymore," Suarez promised. "I spoke to my psychologist and he said I had to face it and say sorry. I did - now I would rather focus on the present, which is Barcelona." The 27-year-old Uruguay striker added he was "really depressed" after the incident in Brazil. He is banned from playing in competitive fixtures until late October and must also serve the remaining eight games of his nine-match international ban. He can play in friendly matches though. "I am speaking to professionals - the right professionals. But it is a private matter and I don't want to comment further on that," Suarez added. Luis Suarez is 20/1 at Bet365 to become the Primera Liga top goalscorer next season.
