Premier League: Liverpool target Spanish duo
Liverpool are reportedly close to completing a double deal for Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno and Atletico Madrid right-back Javi Manquillo. Reds chief executive Ian Ayre has flown to Spain to try and complete the transfers, which would take Liverpool's summer spending past the £100m barrier if completed. In Manquillo's case the deal would be a loan, maybe for two seasons, with the possibility of a buy for around 6 million pounds. Moreno, who has also been linked with Arsenal this summer, is expected to cost around 20 million pounds. Boss Brendan Rodgers has spent around 90 million pounds this summer on Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren from Southampton, Lille striker Divock Origi, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can and Benfica winger Lazar Markovic. "We still have some business to do," Rodgers said. "We have some positions that we want to fill so by the end of August we'll have a strong squad to go forward with." Liverpool are 10/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League next season.
