A court in Guangzhou, Guangdong province recently finished sentencing 68 defendants in one of the largest online-gambling ring busts in China.
The group, which handled bet in excess of 484 billion yen, or roughly $78 billion, was all sentenced to jail terms ranging from 17 months to 9 years, depending on their involvement. Additional fines were ordered ranging between 50,000 and 20 million yen.
The group all appeared in yellow prison shirts and black shorts on Thursday before the judge.
