Sportech plc has faced an ongoing fight against Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs regarding the refund value added taxes from ten years ago assessed to its Spot The Ball game. The company announces that was given a GBP93 million refund from HMRC.
Sportech investors need to refrain from doing the happy dance since HMRC has appealed and the money could be given right back.
The over taxing case dates back to 1979 to 1996.
