World Cup: Lukaku bags hat-trick for Belgium in friendly
Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku scored a hat-trick as Belgium recorded a 5-1 win against neighbours Luxembourg in preparation for the World Cup. Manchester United young winger Adnan Januzaj made his international debut for Belgium as a substitute in Monday's match. Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli and former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne scored the other goals. Belgium have not played at a major tournament since reaching the last 16 at the 2002 World Cup, but this time there is real enthusiasm around the wealth of talent in the squad. They are considered one of the dark horses for the World Cup in Brazil after a solid qualifying campaign. Belgium have won eight and drew two of their ten qualifying matches. Adnan Januzaj, born in Brussels to Kosovan-Albanian parents, opted to represent Belgium in April. He could have played for Kosovo, Albania, Turkey, Serbia or even England in the future. The Manchester United winger is one of the twelve Premier League players selected in Belgium's provisional World Cup squad. Belgium have been drawn alongside Algeria, Russia and South Korea in Group H at next month's World Cup and they are 18/1 at Bet365 to win the trophy.
