Formula 1: Lewis Hamilton dominates second practice session in Spain
Lewis Hamilton set a blazing pace to head Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg in second practice at the Spanish Grand Prix. Hamilton was 0.449 seconds quicker than Rosberg and almost a whole second clear of Daniel Ricciardo's Red Bull in third. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso was fourth, 1.6 seconds off the pace and 0.175 seconds ahead of team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel did not take part in the session as his car failed after four laps of the first session. Mercedes are clearly ahead of their rivals while Red Bull seem to have moved closer to Ferrari's performances. Red Bull have introduced some aerodynamic and mechanical upgrades, while engine partner Renault is getting close to achieving 100% efficiency in deployment of the maximum allowable amount of hybrid power. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said there was still plenty of work to be done before Renault could match Mercedes in the engine battle. "The integration of the engine, turbo and hybrid system is still quite crude," Horner said. "It's about getting it all working together in harmony. It's not just about when the driver is on the power, but also in harvesting. I'm not worried about Ferrari. We're 0.5 seconds off a Mercedes at the moment." Here are the outright win odds at Bet365 for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix: Lewis Hamilton - 1/3 Nico Rosberg - 10/3 Fernando Alonso - 20/1 Daniel Ricciardo - 20/1 Sebastian Vettel - 22/1
