Back UEFA Champions League: Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund preview

Real Madrid will be looking for revenge when they face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Wednesday as the Germans have knocked out the Spanish giants in last year's edition of the competition. Borussia have won the first leg of last year's semi-final clash 4-1 at home and progressed to the final where they were beaten by Bayern Munich. The two sides have also met in the group stage last season and Dortmund won 2-1 and home and clinched a 2-2 draw in Spain.

Borussia Dortmund had a tough time in the previous round as they defeated Zenit 5-4 on aggregate while Real comfortably saw off Schalke, 9-2 on aggregate. Real have not lost a match in the Champions League since last year's defeat in Dortmund, they recorded eight wins and a draw since then and bagged an impressive 31 goals in the process. Carlo Ancelotti's men have suffered big blows in the domestic league as they were beaten by Barcelona and Sevilla before bouncing back with a 5-0 win over Rayo last weekend.

Dortmund have already lost the title battle in Germany but coach Jurgen Klopp believes his team is at least as good as last season's. The Germans will be without star striker Robert Lewandowski (suspended) while Neven Subotic, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Marcel Schmelzer and Sven Bender are all injured. Real Madrid also have some injury problems, Alvaro Arbeloa, Sami Khedira and Jese Rodriguez will be unavailable for Wednesday's match.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Real Madrid win - 4/11 Draw - 19/4 Dortmund win - 15/2
