World Cup: Kyle Walker to miss England friendly
Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker will feature in England's friendly against Denmark on Wednesday, at least that is what Spurs boss Tim Sherwood said. Walker could still join the squad but his manager says he won't be ready to play as a result of a hip injury. Walker missed Spurs' 1-0 victory over Cardiff on Sunday, and Sherwood said: "He won't be fit for England." Another Spurs player, Denmark's midfielder Christian Eriksen will also be absent as he is still recovering from a back injury that prevented him from playing on Sunday. Sherwood said Walker would "probably" link up with the England squad as they will be spending time at Spurs' training complex. "We're just hoping to nurse him back to fitness for next week against Chelsea, so we'll see how that goes," Sherwood added. "Christian Eriksen won't be ready for Denmark either." In Walker's absence Liverpool's Glen Johnson will start at right-back for England, which will allow him to earn his 50th cap. Hodgson will also miss central defender Phil Jagielka due to a hamstring injury. Here are the odds at Bet365 for Wednesday's match, the final friendly for Hodgson and his men before naming the World Cup squad: England win - 8/13 Draw - 11/4 Denmark win - 9/2
