Champions League: AC Milan vs Atletico Madrid preview
They were rivals in their playing days in Italy, now Clarence Seedorf and Diego Simeone will face each other again as head coaches on Wednesday when Atletico Madrid visit AC Milan in the Champions League. The former midfielders had lots of clashes during their playing careers as Seedorf was playing for AC Milan and Simeone for arch rivals Inter Milan, now they meet again when their sides battle it out in the last 16 of Europe's top club competition. Atletico are one of the three sides that ended the group stage unbeaten, with five win out of six games. AC Milan on the other hand have been quite inconsistent this season in the domestic league and have always struggled against Spanish opponents at home. Milan had eight matches against Spanish sides in Europe and only managed to win one, last season's 2-0 victory against Barcelona, but they lost the knockout tie. Atletico have won three of their eight matches in Italy but they have never faced AC Milan in an European competition. This will also be a battle between two in-form strikers: Atletico's Diego Costa and Milan's Mario Balotelli. Diego Costa has bagged 26 goals in all competitions this season while Balotelli scored five goals in his last six appearances, including a late match-winner against Bologna last week. AC Milan will be without suspended midfielders Riccardo Montolivo and Sulley Muntari, while Kaka (ankle) and Cristian Zapata (thigh) are in doubt. Atletico will be without Tiago (wrist), Filipe Luis (groin) and Javi Manquillo (back). Here are the odds at Bet365 for Wednesday's match at San Siro: AC Milan win - 11/4 Draw - 23/10 Atletico Madrid win - 6/5
