Transfer News: Julian Draxler not keen on Bayern Munich move
Schalke star midfielder Julian Draxler might not be interested in joining European champions Bayern Munich, his current club's chairman has said. The talented youngster has been linked to a move at Arsenal in January. Schalke would let him go for 38 million pounds, a value that matches the release clause in his contract. "If another club comes in for him, then we cannot block them. That would be unfair," Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies said. "I don't think he wants to join Bayern Munich, though." Tonnies added he turned down a big bid from a team this winter and that he wants to keep the Germany international Draxler at the club for at least another season. "We know we're not going to be able to keep Julian at Schalke forever," he added. "It would do Draxler good to spend another year or two with us." Despite his young age Draxler has already made 89 appearances for his club, scoring 14 goals. He also managed to break into the senior German national team in 2012, making 10 appearances since then and also scoring a goal. He is described as one of the most talented young footballers in Europe and a fierce competition for his signature is expected next summer. You can already bet on the outcome of that transfer battle at SkyBet, here are the odds for a Draxler move before September 1st: Arsenal - 1/3 Manchester United - 9/2 Bayern Munich - 6/1 Chelsea - 12/1 Liverpool - 20/1
