Serie A: Adel Taarabt compares himself to Mario Balotelli
New AC Milan signing Adel Taarabt has described himself as the "Balotelli of Morocco" after joining former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli at the Italian club. Taarabt is 24 years old and played at Fulham for the first part of the season before being loaned from QPR to AC Milan until next summer. "I thought 'they've got the Italian Balotelli and now they're going to have the Balotelli of Morocco'," he said. "I can't wait to get to know Balotelli better and to become his friend." Taarabt has scored seven goals in 79 Premier League appearances, while Balotelli managed to bag 20 in 54 games during his time at Manchester City. There are some similarities between the two when it comes to their behaviour though, especially disagreements with managers. After being substituted at half-time during QPR against Fulham in October 2011, Taarabt left the ground early as his side were trounced 6-0. Then he retired from international football after arguing with Morocco coach Eric Gerets. He changed his mind four months later. Taarabt promises he won't cause any problems for AC Milan head coach Clarence Seedorf, who is only a few weeks into his first coaching job. "I haven't got a difficult character. Perhaps some find it hard to accept direct and sincere people," said Taarabt. "I'm really the complete opposite. I like to joke and this can be misinterpreted." Taarabt could make his debut for Milan, who are 10th in Serie A, in their away match against Napoli on Saturday. He is 9/2 at Bet365 to score a goal in that match while Mario Balotelli is 13/8 to find the back of the net next Saturday.
