Spanish Cup: David Villa in doubt for Madrid derby
Atletico Madrid star striker David Villa could miss Wednesday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg at city rivals Real Madrid. The 32-year-old Spain forward suffered a thigh injury during Atletico's 4-0 league win over Real Sociedad last weekend and was substituted after 41 minutes. On the other hand Real Madrid superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo will be available for the game despite his red card against Athletic Bilbao as he will only be banned for league games. Real's £85m world-record signing Gareth Bale, who missed Sunday's 1-1 draw at Bilbao with a calf injury, is expected to be available. The 24-year-old Welsh forward has only made 13 appearances in the league due to thigh and leg injuries troubling his season. He has still managed to score 10 goals in all competitions though. Atletico Madrid won the last clash between the two clubs as they secured a 1-0 success at the Bernabeu on September 28th. Atletico are leading the Primera Liga table, three points clear of Barcelona and Real Madrid. As for the Spanish Cup, both clubs have a good tradition in this competition, with Atletico having won it 10 times and Real Madrid 18 times. The other semi final sees league holders Barcelona take on Real Sociedad. Here are the odds for Wednesday's derby at Bet365: Real Madrid win - 10/11 Draw - 13/5 Atletico Madrid win - 14/5
