Primera Liga: Atletico Madrid alone at the top of the table
Atletico Madrid lead the Primera Liga table outright for the first time since their double-winning season in 1995-96 after a comfortable win over Real Sociedad. The club paid tribute to former player and coach Luis Aragones, who died on Saturday, with a brilliant performance on Sunday. Former Barcelona star David Villa opened the scoring as he drove home Diego Costa's cross and then Costa got on the score sheet himself before Miranda made it 3-0. Diego Ribas settled the score with a late finish. Barcelona were surprisingly beaten 3-2 at home by Valencia on Saturday while Real Madrid were held to a 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday. The results leave Diego Simeone's men at the top of the league table, with a three-point cushion over both Barcelona and Real Madrid. "Real Sociedad made it difficult without creating great chances," said Simeone, as Atletico scored three of their goals in the final 20 minutes. "Defending didn't worry me, but the problem is when you don't attack and it was difficult for us to get out in the second half." This is the most interesting Primera Liga title race in the last decade, who will win it is anybody's guess at the moment. Barcelona are still the favourites according to the bookmakers, here are the outright odds at SkyBet: Barcelona - 5/4 Real Madrid - 6/4 Atletico Madrid - 3/1
