Hull City are looking to put an end to a dismal run of four consecutive defeats as they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Spurs have their own amends to make after getting thrashed 5-1 by Manchester City last Thursday. Hull have won just one of their last 10 Premier League matches and find themselves just four points clear of the relegation area. The only victory in that run was a solid 6-0 triumph over Fulham.
This time Hull will get some help from new signings Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long, two strikers that can provide goals for the Tigers. Spurs had been on a good six-match unbeaten run before facing Manchester City. It was the first league defeat for new boss Tim Sherwood and the heaviest loss since Liverpool beat them 5-0 at White Hart Lane on December 15th.
The two sides have met twice in four days last October, with Tottenham winning 1-0 at the KC Stadium in the league fixture before beating Hull on penalties in the Capital One Cup following a 2-2 draw. Hull will be without goalkeeper Allan McGregor while Jake Livermore is ineligible to face Spurs, the club that sent him on loan at KC Stadium. Jan Vertonghen, Paulinho (both ankle), Sandro (calf) and Younes Kaboul (thigh) are all close to making a return to the first team for Spurs while Andros Townsend (hamstring) is a doubt.
Here are the odds for Saturday's match at Bet365:
Hull City win - 3/1
Draw - 5/2
Tottenham win - 21/20
