Premier League: David Moyes doesn't give up on the title
Manchester United manager David Moyes says he is not willing to give up on clinching the Premier League title, despite falling 14 points behind leaders Arsenal after a 3-1 defeat at Chelsea last weekend. Samuel Eto'o bagged a hat-trick to power Chelsea past Manchester United, handing the Red Devils their seventh league defeat of the season. Moyes, whose side remain seventh in the Premier League table, said after the match: "What we don't do is throw the towel in until we can't get there. The job is to finish first and we'll try to do that." Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho seems to agree with Moyes as he doesn't rule United out of the title race yet, but added it would need a terrible loss of form from those teams ahead of them to get the Red Devils back in the title race. Mourinho said: "I am sure David won't be upset with me if I tell the reality. It is a 14-point difference to Arsenal, then 13 to Manchester City and 12 to us. It needs three teams to almost have a collapse, so the title will be difficult for them. What I hope is that they beat all the other teams to finish in the top four." United are now six points off the Champions League places with 16 matches remaining in the season. "This is a project," added Moyes. "I know what I'm going to do and there will be changes as we go along the journey. It is a massive challenge. I hoped we'd be in a better position than we are, but we are not." The bookmakers give Manchester United the slimmest of chances to win the title, they are 100/1 to retain the crown at Bet365 while the odds for the top three favourites are as follows: Manchester City - 1/1 Chelsea - 5/2 Arsenal - 7/2
