Premier League: Swansea vs Manchester City preview
Second-placed Manchester City face a tough away match at Swansea City on New Year's Day. It was a tough ground for City so far, they have made two trips to the Liberty stadium since Swansea were promoted to the top flight in 2011, but are yet to win or score there. Swansea haven't scored much against City either, just one goal in their last five Premier League matches. Michael Laudrup's men struggled throughout December, getting just one win from seven matches. The last match ended in a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday. Winger Pablo Hernandez hopes the new year brings Swansea a change in fortune. "It's going to be a difficult game," the Spanish player said. "One month ago we played them and we lost 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium, but we played a good game. They are a great team, with big players, but at home we can beat anyone in the Premier League." On the other hand City are in amazing form, with four straight Premier League wins and plenty of goals scored in the process: 11 goals in their last four matches. Swansea will be without goalkeeper Michel Vorm and striker Michu as both recover from surgery while Manuel Pellegrini will probably replace Joe Hart between the sticks after the England goalie suffered an eye injury last weekend. Martin Demichelis (hamstring), Sergio Aguero (calf) and Micah Richards (hamstring) are all sidelined. Here are the odds for Wednesday's match at Bet365: Swansea win - 9/2 Draw - 16/5 Manchester City win - 13/20
