Premier League: West Ham vs Arsenal preview
Arsenal have lost the top spot in the Premier League table after a goalless draw with Chelsea on Monday, but since Liverpool face a toiugh trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on Manchester City, a victory for the Gunners might push them back at the top of the table. Arsenal have a great record at Upton Park, having won five of the last games against West Ham. The home side are just a point above the relegation zone, having won just three league matches all season. Sam Allardyce will miss a bunch of key players, starting with striker Andy Carroll, who has yet to feature since joining the club on a permanent basis from Liverpool. West Ham will also be without Stewart Downing (Achilles), Winston Reid (ankle), Ricardo Vaz Te (shoulder) and Mladen Petric (calf). Arsenal are without Jack Wilshere who serves a second and final match of his ban while Laurent Koscielny (knee) is still a doubt, having missed the game with Chelsea. Yaya Sanogo (back), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Abou Diaby (both knee) all remain long-term absentees. West Ham lost 3-1 at Manchester United last weekend and Allardyce knows his players have to do much better if they want to grab points. "It's a difficult test for us now and it's going to be a long haul in terms of digging ourselves out of this position," he said. "We just have to make sure that we don't make the types of error that we made in the first half on Saturday. We have to be more consistent in our performances and certainly we've got to find more goals." Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: West Ham win - 5/1 Draw - 31/10 Manchester United win - 8/13
