Premier League: Manchester United stunned by Cardiff
Kim Bo-Kyung denied Manchester United the three points on Sunday as he came off the bench to score a stoppage-time equaliser. Cardiff deserved the point though as they played a good game against reigning champions Manchester United at Cardiff City Stadium. Wayne Rooney opened the scoring with a deflected strike but Fraizer Campbell made it all square again before Patrice Evra put United in the lead when he headed home Rooney's corner. United could still have won the match after Kim's equaliser, but Rooney mishit a pass that would have given Danny Welbeck a simple finish. The home side started the match with good determination and Campbell came close to scoring as he missed a Mutch cross by just a few inches. Mutch came close himself as his header from Peter Whittingham's free-kick forced a great save from David De Gea. Rooney was then given a yellow card for taking a swipe at Mutch and the United striker was fortunate as replays suggested he should have been sent off. United then took the lead when Javier Hernandez found Rooney with a pass and the England striker fired home with help from a deflection off Gary Medel. David Marshall then produced a good save to deny Marouane Fellaini's header. Cardiff equalised thanks to Mutch who once again produced a good play, slotting the ball through for Campbell who slotted home. Cardiff were dominating, Campbell, Don Cowie and Whittingham fired over but it was United who scored as Evra headed home from Rooney's corner. Kim finally restored parity on Whittingham's free-kick in the closing minutes. Manchester United are 7/1 to win the title at Bet365 while Chelsea are 7/2 to retain the Premier League crown this season.
