Premier League: Manchester City target Kurt Zouma
Manchester City are eyeing a move for 19-year-old St. Etienne central defender Kurt Zouma, media reports claim. Chief executive Ferran Soriano and Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain are known to be admirers of the France Under-21 youngster and have already designated him as an ideal solution to adding depth and quality to City's defensive line-up. City hope that they could get the French youngster for around £10 million after having conducted initial negotiations with the French club. The Citizens have also made informal enquiries over FC Porto players Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi but the Portuguese champions are reluctant to sell two of their most valuable assets. Zouma is currently banned until February after breaking Thomas Guerbert's leg earlier this month, but he has been watched by City's chief scout Gary Worthington. Chelsea are also known to be interested in Zouma but City seem to be more determined as they have been hit by injuries to Vincent Kompany, Matija Nastasic, Micah Richards and Martin Demichelis so far this season, making the signing of a new central defender almost mandatory. Zouma made his debut for St. Etienne at the age of 16 and has played over 50 games for the Ligue 1 club, attracting interest from a whole bunch of top European clubs lately. Until that transfer is completed Manchester city have to go past Tottenham in Sunday's most interesting Premier League match. Here are the odds at Bet365: Manchester City win - 4/6 Draw - 11/4 Tottenham win - 4/1
