World Cup qualifying play-offs: Romania vs Greece Preview
Romania have a tough task ahead of them as they need to overturn a two-goal deficit in Bucharest. However, they might gain some confidence from the fact that they have won five of their last seven home matches. A brace from Konstantinos Mitroglou either side of a goal from Dimitris Salpingidis in Athens on Friday give Greece a solid advantage but Romania managed to score a precious away goal courtesy of Bogdan Stancu. Romania have not conceded in three of their last five matches in Bucharest and Greek striker Salpingidis is expecting a tough test on Tuesday. "Of course, in theory, we have the best chance to qualify, especially after we won the first match with a two-goal difference," he said. "However, the distance between winning and losing is very small, especially in big football games. We have to be careful in Bucharest; we have an extremely difficult mission there." Greece are in superb shape though, they are coming from seven consecutive victories and have lost just one of their last 15 matches. Coach Fernando Santos will rely on Mitroglou to keep up his goalscoring form as the 25-year-old striker bagged seven goals in as many appearances for club and country. Romania could be without captain Vlad Chiriches due to the defender's broken nose but the Tottenham centre back might play wearing a protective mask. Both sides have players suspended for the match: Romania will miss midfielders Alexandru Bourceanu and Costin Lazar while Greece will have to do without captain Kostas Katsouranis. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Romania win - 23/20 Draw - 12/5 Greece win - 14/5
