Tennis: Novak Djokovic beats David Ferrer to clinch Paris title
Novak Djokovic beat defending champion David Ferrer in straight sets to win the Paris Masters for the second time in his career, adding his 40th ATP Tour Title in the process. The world number two fought back from a break down in both sets to win 7-5 7-5 and regain the title he won for the first time in 2009. Ferrer served for both sets at 5-4 but Djokovic found the strength to fight back back in each to win his sixth title of 2013. Djokovic won in one hour and 52 minutes, and now heads to London to defend his ATP World Tour Finals title. This was the 17th consecutive win for Djokovic since losing the US Open final to Rafael Nadal in September. Ferrer broke Djokovic's serve in the fifth game of the first set thanks to a superb drop shot, but the Spaniard could not hold on to his own service at the decisive moment, with Djokovic making it all square at 5-5 with a forehand winner down the line. Djokovic then lost his serve in the first game of the second set, but when Ferrer was serving at 5-4 with the chance to sent the match into a decider Djokovic broke back once again. Djokovic has a chance to replace Nadal in the world number one slot, which the Spaniard has held since early October, as both play at the ATP World Tour Finals, which begin at London's 02 Arena on Monday. "It doesn't just depend on me, it depends on Rafa," said Djokovic. "It's very important for me to concentrate on myself and let things take care of themselves. I've taken a lot of confidence from this week." Here are the outright odds for the ATP World Tour Finals at Bet365: Novak Djokovic - 11/10 Rafael Nadal - 2/1 Juan Martin Del Potro - 6/1 Roger Federer - 8/1 Tomas Berdych - 16/1 David Ferrer - 25/1 Stanislas Wawrinka - 33/1 Richard Gasquet - 50/1
