The New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association is not ready to accept defeat as the US Third Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that sports betting will not be available in New Jersey.
Intrastate sports betting legislation was approved two years ago but was never put into effect due to US Department of Justice and the national sports leagues desire to maintain just four states offering sports betting.
The Association is hoping to present the case once more in front of a panel of judges instead of the previous three that heard it before and ruled against it.
Governor Chris Christie intends to pursue the US Supreme Court if need be.
