Primera Liga: Real Madrid vs Sevilla preview
Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid will look for an immediate response after being defeat last weekend by Barcelona in the first Clasico of the season, and the first opportunity is the league match against Sevilla on Wednesday. Alexis Sanchez and Neymar gave reigning champions Barcelona a two-goal advantage before Jese Rodriguez bagged a consolation goal in stoppage time. There was plenty of controversy after the match though as Madrid claimed they should have had two penalty kicks. The defeat ended Real's run of four consecutive wins in all competitions came. Real Madrid are now six points adrift of league leaders Barcelona, and five behind city rivals Atletico Madrid. Real have a good track record against Sevilla as they won eight of their last nine meetings in all competitions. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 11 times in just five games against Sevilla, so he will be confident of doing that again on Wednesday. Xabi Alonso has been in training as part of his comeback from groin and foot injuries but is unlikely to play against Sevilla, while centre-back Raphael Varane is a doubtful due to a knee injury. Sevilla have bounced back after a slow start to the season with five matches without a victory in La Liga, now they are unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions. That solid run includes five league matches without defeat, Sunday's 2-1 success over Osasuna being the latest. Sevilla head coach Unai Emery will be without on-loan winger Marko Marin due to a hamstring injury, while midfielder Ivan Rakitic will probably be fit despite problems with his groin and hip. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Real Madrid win - 2/11 Draw - 6/1 Sevilla win - 12/1
