Champions League: Manchester City thrashed by Bayern Munich
Manchester City were beaten quite clearly at Etihad Stadium by champions Bayern Munich as Joe Hart put in another disappointing display. The goalkeeper fumbled a long range effort from Franck Ribery as Bayern took an early lead and then was beaten easily at the near post as Arjen Robben scored the third goal. Thomas Muller hit the back of the net for the second goal while Alvaro Negredo scored a fine consolation goal for the Citizens. Former City defender Jerome Boateng was sent off for bringing down Yaya Toure but Manchester City were unable to mount a serious fightback. The spotlight was on City goalkeeper Joe Hart who had another poor performance. He was slow to react last weekend when Andreas Weimann scored the winning goal for Aston Villa, made another mistake against Cardiff in August and also allowed an easy goal during England's victory against Scotland. Manuel Pellegrini must now decide whether to keep Hart between the sticks or replace him with Costel Pantilimon against Everton on Saturday. Hart's terrible evening began after just seven minutes when Rafinha's long pass found Ribery on the left, the French winger cut inside and delivered a shot that was fumbled into the net by the goalkeeper. David Alaba then came close to scoring the second but Hart was lucky to see the parried ball coming back to him off Nastasic. In the night's other match in Group D, CSKA Moscow beat Viktoria Plzen 3-2 to join City on three points. Manchester City will face a tough match in the Premier League on Saturday as Everton visit the Etihad Stadium, here are the odds at Bet365: Manchester City win - 13/20 Draw - 14/5 Everton win - 4/1
