Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is in talks with Turkish champions Galatasaray about their vacant manager's position. The Istanbul club confirmed that Mancini was invited to a meeting with club directors. The club have released a photo of the 48-year-old Italian manager with chief executive Lutfi Aribogan. The Italian would replace Fatih Terim, who was sacked last week after failing to agree a new contract.
Manchester City sacked Mancini in May, exactly one year after he led the club to their first ever Premier League title. Galatasaray have made a poor start to the Turkish league season, picking up just one win from their first five games. They also had a rough start to the Champions League group stage as Real Madrid beat them 6-1 in their opening game.
Mancini has won three successive Italian league titles and two Italian Cups with Inter Milan, before winning the FA Cup and Premier League with City.
