With nearly 2 million Facebook users, Paddy Power has introduced them to a real money mobile sports betting application.
UK users have beta tested the In Play app since July.
Paddy Power developers created the app which will employ a strict age verification process.
A Gamcare spokesperson expressed the organization's belief that Paddy Power would be responsible.
"It is great to be able to work with operators like Paddy Power on these sites, because it does minimize the damage that gambling can cause," Gamcare's Joel O'Connor said.
Of the variety of applications available on Facebook, Paddy Powers will be the first to accept sports wagers.
