Sportech's Playtech-powered online gambling division could be resuscitated if its receives an approval to move into the New Jersey online gambling market in November. Sportech's online gambling results showed that it's suffering while the racing division continues to prosper with betting licenses across the country. There are approximately 37 companies that have submitted applications for New Jersey licensing with many of them being US land based operators partnering up with online operators. There are rumors flying that Churchill Downs may be interested in breaking into the New Jersey market along with rumors of interest from Paddy Power, UK company 2Up Gaming and Genting. There is major interest in NJ and come November, players will likely have the best of the best in terms of offers.
