Premier League: Tottenham sign Etienne Capoue
Tottenham have completed the signing of France midfielder Etienne Capoue from top-flight club Toulouse. The 25-year-old midfielder is the fourth signing of the summer for Spurs and the fee is believed to be around 9 million pounds. Capoue has made 174 appearance for Toulouse, scoring 13 goals, and has also earned seven caps for France. He is a solution in midfield but he can also play as a central defender. Capoue was named in the French league's Team of the Year in 2012. The first three signings of the summer for Tottenham were Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Corinthians, Belgium winger Nacer Chadli from FC Twente and Spain striker Roberto Soldado from Valencia. Soldado's transfer set a new record for the club as the fee was 26 million pounds. Tottenham might be using Capoue in defence as centre back Steven Caulker moved to Cardiff, while Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul are not yet recovered from injuries. However, the French international's arrival might force Tottenham to sell a central midfielder and veteran Scott Parker might be the one to move to either West Ham or Queens Park Rangers. Tottenham face Crystal Palace on Sunday in their opening Premier League match of the season, here are the odds at Bet365: Crystal Palace win - 15/4 Draw - 11/4 Tottenham - 5/6
