Tennis: Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal win upon return to action
Britain's Andy Murray made a winning return to action as he defeated Marcel Granollers 6-4 7-6 (7-2) in the second round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal. Murray broke Granollers twice in the first set to lead 4-1 before a string of unforced errors allowed the Spaniard to break back and move within a game at 5-4. But Murray served out and then managed to fight back from 4-1 down to force a second-set tie-break which he won comfortably. This was the first match since winning Wimbledon for Murray. Murray will face world number 38 Ernests Gulbis in the third round. His performance against Granollers was not as good as he might have wanted though, with several unforced errors and just glimpses of the level of play that allowed him to win at Wimbledon. "It was tricky. It is extremely windy here and the balls here are quick so it felt like it was flying around," Murray said after the match. "I didn't feel that I had my timing and got pushed behind the baseline. He had a very good win over Dimitrov yesterday, won last week and is one of the best doubles players in the world, so he is tough," Murray said. Rafael Nadal also made a winning return to singles action as he beat wildcard Jesse Levine 6-2 6-0 in just 72 minutes. Murray will have a fairly tough match today in the third round against Gulbis, here are the odds for this match at Bet365: Ernests Gulbis win - 4/1 Andy Murray win - 1/6
