Pro Marijuana Ad Removed from NASCAR Event
A pro marijuana ad has been removed from outside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway meant for NASCAR fans attending the 2013 Brickyard 400 races. The “New Beer” ad was created by MarijuanaIsSafer.org. NASCAR racegoers will not be exposed to such propaganda this weekend on the track. A pro-marijuana ad set up across from Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been taken down. A group known as the Marijuana Policy Project put up a large video board outside the IMS to play a commercial pointing out the positive effects of the drug. The story broke on Friday but when the operator of the jumbo-tron was told of the contents of the ad he arranged to have the ad removed. Due to the Drug Free America Foundation, Inc, the ad bears an unacceptable message. A spokesperson of the media company responsible for selling the organization the ad space said: "We in no way support marijuana at family events. We didn't expect this ad to be interpreted the way it did. We don't want anything to do with it anymore." "New Beer" - Marijuana Policy Project NASCAR Ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7H8Cz9woC2A
