Spanish Racing Track Seeks Blocking of Illegal Operators
This week, Spanish race track Hipodromo de la Zarzuela, s.a. (HZ) has appealed to the Spanish gaming authority (DGOJ) to act on “the illegal operations of French-licenced Zeturf and Malta-licenced RaceBets.” They also requested that the DGOJ passes precautionary measures against the operators that include but are not restricted to the blocking of their websites because they are not licensed in Spain but they are still targeting and marketing Spanish horse races to foreign and local website customers. At the same time, HZ appealed to racing fans, calling on them to avoid participating or contributing in any way to such illegal activities, as these operators do nothing to support the industry.
