HMRC Struggle with Sportech

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Sportech plc's company, its multi-million pound sterling V.A.T. tussle with Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs is not over yet. Although HMRC had lost its First-tier Tax Tribunal case as well as permission to appeal, it has now applied directly to the Upper Tribunal for permission to appeal against the decision of the FTT. It is to wait and see in approximately 4 weeks whether HMRC will be granted the right to appeal.
